we had to get the windmill pumping again after many years. we were putting the cows in and of course they needed water. anyways, that was the easiest part. we put the cows in the following day, by bike. sore bums and blisters on our hands we got them across the tracks. one mght mention that calves are absolutely DENSE when away from their amigos. one strayed, 2 hours later, dad roped it off the cavalier hood.....rednek style...red coveralls and helmet....and then the story gets better, we tie this calf up to HAUL it over the tracks to its mom. sheldon & I were on the skidoo trailer with a 600 ish lbs. calf...that GETS LOOSE......it bowls over us...and by the that time it is charging us limitlessly. finally we pull it into the corrals and use the BIG cattle trailer to take one little calf across. sorry no snaps on this episode. the photographer was pretty much in the heart of the action:)
